I wish that I had more time to update and write on here all the comings and goings of life, the things I want to remember and share stuff just for the fun of it. An entry once a week just doesn't allow space for all that happens everyday, all the tiny details and the once a week jabber just all sounds the same, it all runs together. You know the life is great stuff, my baby is getting bigger and smarter he amazes me everyday. The hubs is doing great- in the process of trying to teach him a bit of piano- note: I am not a good teacher, lol. He tells me that I am teaching him with an iron fist, which is so not true. (insert smile here) I just get frustrated fairly easy when he isn't getting what I am teaching. But I am doing better because I know its important to him, he has always wanted to learn. Logan is our little music man- He will sit at the piano for so long just playing and dancing. He will come to me and say, "Momma, Sing!" That's what he calls playing the piano. So needless to say- I have high hopes for my little musician! It just occurred to me the other day that me and B have been together for eight whole years now, that seems so crazy to me. It seems like just the other day I knew he was"it!" He holds so much of my life.
Completely and totally off subject- I am looking so forward to fall- for the smells, the cooler weather, the holidays...I'm traipsing on dangerous ground saying that- It's a scary thing wishing time away it will be here before...yesterday.
So I thought it would be fun to answers some questions about myself- this is like a 30 day thing- answer one question a day- but because I only get on like once or twice (at the most) a week- I thought I would go ahead and answer some of the questions. It's not exactly how it's supposed to go, but surely there is no harm in changing it up a bit, right?!?! So here goes...
Day 1: A favorite song: I love music- every type (well, except for scream-o, lol) narrowing it down is REALLY, REALLY hard. There is one song that I never get tired of listening to and that is, "Hallelujah." My favorite version is Jeff Buckley's. It is an amazing song- if you have never heard it- you should defiantly listen and enjoy. Another favorite because its just so darn hard to name one- I love Coldplay's song "Fix You"- its just a place and time song that means something to me. Really, y'all the list could just go on and on and on- because I LOVE MUSIC.
Day 2: A favorite movie: Oh goodness, honestly- just one?!? We recently went and saw Inception and Wow- it is an amazing movie. Genious, if you will. It left me wanting to see it again to notice all the little details that I missed the first time around because the movie is FULL of detail. Leonardo DiCaprio is excellent- he is an awesome actor that I am convinced could play any part. So for a new favorite that would definitely be it. Oldies- there are too many to name....seriously, there is just NO way to narrow it down.
Day 3: A favorite book: I am not a huge reader- I used to be and then somehow I just lost the time- my days just fly by and I am beyond busy so reading doesn't rank high on my agenda I guess you could say. I have read a many good books in my life. My favorite reading material would have to be short stories like those of Edgar Allen Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Charles Dickens, Mark Twain. Stories that invoke thought, that is interpreted different by different people. To name another, I loved The Catcher in the Rye.
Day 4: A favorite television program: Again, with the hard to narrow down...so here goes a few.
-House
-Criminal Minds
-The Mentalist
-C.S.I: LV
-Ghost Whisperer
-The Good Wife
-Supernatural
Day 5: A favorite quote: I am a quotes person. They are words to live by.
"Carpe Diem, seize the day- make your life extraordinary!"- Dead Poets Society
"I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze, but I, I think maybe it's both. Maybe both is happening at the same time."- Forest Gump
There are SO many more, that's just a couple!
Day 6: A moment you wish you could relive: That's a tough one. I'm not really a type of person that wants to go and have a do over. Not that I'm perfect I just know that I was there for a season, made a decision and it's part of who I am. I don't really have regrets, I try my best to do ok with what I've got and strive everyday to do it better. I want to savor everyday. I am just really learning what it means to not waste time or take the time we are given for granted. If I had a chance to go back for just a little while I would go back to a summers day that was spent at my grandmother's house, me and my brother swimming in the tub "bucket", running thru the garden, breathing in the air, not a care in the whole entire world, picking beans, riding our bikes pretending we were all grown up, enjoying the time but not to the fullest because I didn't know how much those days would mean to me now. If I could go back in time I would enjoy the simple things more often.
Day 7: Five things you couldn't possible live without:
(1) Logan
(2) "B"
(3) My family
(4) My camera
(5) Happiness
These things are just so darn fun, I don't know why...they just are! But, we will stop there for now- and pick it up sometime in the near future. I did a weeks worth of questions today and I will do more the next time I am on. I hope y'all are great and that life is treating you well! Resume soon. Until then- have a great tomorrow!

i heart this house.
The past few days have been so wonderful...we finally moved into the house that we have been working so hard on. Long days, late nights, lots of sweat and hard hard work. It's finally almost complete. We still have a few things to get situated, some more pictures hung, and we will be home free. It has been so nice being half way settled. It's beautiful, I'm so happy with the way it has turned out. Logan loves the open-ness of it and the fact that he has his rooooom and dinosaur bed back make him smile. I think more than anything I was thrilled to have my pictures back. I had missed them so much. The sweet smile and time line of our life. I am going to post before and after pictures, although pictures simply don’t do it justice. It is beautiful! I love it…. I am so excited! We are finally home!

highlights of life.
last week i spent everyday at the house painting and painting and painting some more. now that the painting is done we are working on everything else. the hubs is laying floor this week and this weekend will mark the date of actually moving in. we will make the trail down the mountain, load up all our belongings and move them in. i cannot begin to describe how excited that i am to have my stuff back. i can't wait to show how much of a change we have made in such a short amount of time. the house has already done a 180. that's what we do though, we make things look great. we take a house and flip it. this one will probably be the nicest yet. our next goal once we get settled is to close in part of the basement for a family/game room with a big t.v. and pool table, etc... all the fun stuff. i can't wait to start on that project.
logan is changing so much everyday...his vocabulary is expanding and he is just so smart, so beautiful, such an awesome kid. he is the bestest little friend ever. i can't believe that i am going to have a two year old in no time flat- that's just crazy! i am looking so forward to fall- i know that summer just got here, but fall is calling my name. i am so ready for halloween- i'm already mulling over what logan will be this year, logan's birthday- of course if you know me i have been thinking and planning this for months already, lol. thanksgiving, the smell of the changing season, the cool air. it's probably my favorite time of the year.
i don't guess there is much more for me to report on because our noses have been stuck in the house just working. i wish i had more time to share simple everyday things with you, or just thoughts that i have, but for now i just have to hit the highlights, touch base, let you know we are still alive. i hope life is great where you are and you are enjoying everyday life. we are, that's a fact!
