Oh.my.gosh, y’all…I cannot believe I haven’t told you yet. Monday evening I was in the den watching a little t.v. with a
TERRIBLE headache- my phone being that it had a low battery was in the bedroom charging. It does it’s little ringa-ling and I ask the hubby if he would go see what it was- I just assumed it would be some random facebook update. Being the darling that he is, he went and got it and proceeded to read what it was so that he could tell me. The next thing I know he is bringing my phone to me saying that he thought I would want to see this, first thought, honestly was it’s gotta be something bad. Much to my surprise it was not! It was an email from a little give-a-way that I had entered back in January to win a Project Life kit. Out of
OODLES of people that entered on the blog, on facebook, on twitter, on youtube, etc…
I WON!!!! Yes,
ME! I'm a winner!! I am winning and with all the recent Charlie Sheen talk of "winning" it gives a
WHOLE new meaning to that simple statement, bless. I could not believe what my eyes were reading- still can’t. I have
NEVER and I mean
NEVER EVER EVER won anything in my entire life, until then. I am
SO excited to receive it- It was my choice as to which kit I wanted, therefore, I chose the opposite style to the one I purchased. I plan to use it for next year since I already have one for this year, but of course I will buy one next year a- they are just so addicting and the styles change from year to year.
The hubby caved…he let me make a batch of cupcakes, he loves me- what can I say. I recently found a recipe and was itching to try my hand at. “Raspberry Chocolate Truffle”- the name alone sounds like heaven on earth. Basically, it's a devils food cake cooked- cooled then filled with raspberry jam and topped with a raspberry butter-cream icing. They turned out beautiful and tasty. A bit too sweet for me, however, the fun I had making them and licking the jam was definitely worth it! We shared one- then we divvied out the rest.
I just love these two pictures of me and my boy, I wanted to share them with. They were taken Saturday- we spent part of the day downtown knoxville on Market Sq. we LOVE it there. The whole square is blocked off- no cars allowed, tons of shops and different local restaurants. I love the "old-ness" of the buildings and the overall feel of it- I forsee us spending a lot of time there during the spring and summer with all the events and concerts they have there. While we were there we stopped in at Rita's treated ourselves. I had a yummy lemonade italian ice- the kiddo had ice cream and the hubby had a gelati (italian ice with custard on top and bottom). They had a photobooth there for their grand re-opening- love the way it turned out and it, of course, made it's way into the P.L. Book.
