{Project Life Progress: 2}
I am really excited to share with you my second addition of my project life progress. You can view my first progress HERE! in video form. I decided to just snap pictures of my progress this time around and tell you about them as I go- instead of a video. I realize the pictures are a bit small, I had to combine them together because there is SO much progress to share that I would have had a million pictures posted *note: really only like 40, but it's close to a million, right?!? I have a slight tendency to over exaggerate! :)* However, feel free to click on the picture to make it bigger if you wish to view the details of each picture. I really love the way it is turning out, its as if it was made for me, Becky Higgins is brilliant in my eyes and I often question myself as to WHY I didn't come up with this first, gah. She has an amazing vision and her heart goes into every idea placed in these books, it's love. The hubster often says how much he too loves it and wishes that we would have had it two years ago- how well I know, I often wish that as well. I believe we have decided to use the project life kit that I won for Lo's first two years. I realize it won't be everyday like I am using for this one- but it will be SO much better than just having two years worth of pictures in a box- I am excited to sit down and get started with that, oh the time that it will take and I'm sure tears will be shed, but I will be so happy when it gets done! I couldn't exactly remember where I closed with the last progress update- so if I have already show-cased a couple of these first pages, do forgive...you're making your way to the new.
*1st: Our everyday life captured, as well as a little card I gave to Lo in one of the journaling card slots. You will notice there isn't any journaling for these days, I plan to insert a long journaler for the first few pages. 2nd: you will notice a smaller page protector- I used a 6x12, 6 picture page protector to show-case a few extra pictures that I had but didn't have room for in the project life layout. 3rd: This begins Lo's first putt-putt trip- I laminated the score card, punched holes and placed it in the book. I used a 12x12, 12 picture page protector for the putt-putt pictures- there were so many that I wanted to use that it resulted in this larger type of protector. (the journaling for this time will be on the back side of the previously stated long journaler.)
*1st: Continuing on with everyday life and journaling. You will notice that I used a large journaling card to journal about the days at hand, due to the fact that I had taken up most of my journal card spots with extra pictures. 2nd: Everyday life from our week and journaling about those days. 3rd & 4th: You will notice a photobooth strip- I simply punched holes and included it in the book. Continuing on with our trip to the circus. I laminated our tickets and punched holes to include them in the book. I also chose to use a 12x12, 12 picture page protector to show-case our time at the circus. (A long journaler will be used to document our trip to the circus, as well.)
*1st: I have included the email and blog post from when I won the project life kit, it was a VERY exciting time for me, it was the first time in my life I had ever won ANYTHING. (The back side of the circus long jounaler will be used to journal about my winnings!) 2nd & 3rd: Welcome March- you will notice the March bookmarker (I LOVE these, I think they are such a great little addition.) Behind the bookmarker I have used a 6x12, 6 picture page protector to include some extra pictures from our days- you will see the back of it on page three. 4th: Everyday life and journaling. Those cupcakes were so delicious.
*1st: Continuing with everyday life and journaling in the project life layout. 2nd & 3rd: Again, I have used a 6x12, 6 picture page protector to include some extra pictures I love but didn't have the space for- you see the front and back side on pages two and three. 4th: I have included some of Lo's drawings in an 8.5x11 page protector- I love those little additions to this book. :)
*1st, 2nd and 3rd: These few pages show-case our day trip to Gatlinburg and our time spent there. On the first page you will notice that I have included a map that we picked up while we were there. I simply punched holes and placed it in the book. I used a 12x12, 12 picture page protector for all the pictures from our time there. 4th: Picking back up with everyday life and journaling about those days. You will notice that I have used several of the journal card slots to include pictures of my latest little projects.
*1st: Our everyday weekly life, along with journaling. 2nd & 3rd: I have included a traditional like scrapbook page here. I used a 12x12 piece of scrapbook paper that came with the project life kit- glued Lo's St. Patty's day craft to it (2) and on the back (3) I included pictures of him while he was making the craft- I really like the way it turned out, although nothing fancy, I love the lil' extra somethin', somethin' it gives. 4th: back to everyday life, 6x12, 6 picture page protector for the extras.
*1st: back of the 6x12 continued from the fourth page above. 2nd: Our little picture we had made at Chuck E. Cheese's- I laminated it, punched holes and included it in the book. 3rd & 4th: picking back up with everyday life along with its journaling- a ticket from Chuck E. Cheese's (I stold from the kiddo's pot. He didn't miss it though- he had racked up!) as well as a few pictures in the journal card slots.
*1st: Everyday life and adventures along with the journaling about them. 2nd: Along with the pictures and journaling, I have included a journal card that I had Lo make discussing his time on the Monster Truck (with translation!) :) -I think its such a precious touch to the book, definitley something I will forever cherish. 3rd & 4th: third is turned sideways to showcase the ticket from the Monster Truck ride, again, I laminated it- punched holes and placed it in the book. Behind the ticket is another 6x12, 6 picture page protector holding some extra pictures that I wanted included- the back is featured on picture four.
*1st and 2nd: Hello, April. (All of these pages are from our family portraits.) The april bookmarker is placed in front of a 6x12 enlargement- the back of the enlargement is seen on picture two- they are placed in a solid 6x12 page protector. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this size of enlargement, it's totally different and so unique (to me). I sized the pictures to a 6x12- placed them on an 8x12 enlargement (because you can't actually order a 6x12), printed it off and then cut it down to the 6x12 size. 3rd & 4th: I used a 12x12, 12 picture page protector to include as many of our family pictures as I wanted- I just love the way they turned out- thanks daddy! :)
*1st: Finally!!! We are caught up to this week, you will see that no journaling has been done on these pictures yet, although, I still wanted to include it in my progress post. The back of the first page has no pictures, due to the fact that I have printed them yet. 2nd: I have included some of the kiddo's finger paint art- he painted on some extra 12x12 white sheets that I had- I glued two of them together, punched holes and included them in the book. 3rd: Here is an example of the "long journalers" you see me giving so much reference to. This is one from a previous time in the book. It's front and back journaling- printed on an 8.5x11 piece of paper- folded over, laminated and of course hole punched to be placed in the book- again, I love this little addition and the different idea that it brings to my book. I have my others ready for printing we just have to get some ink to print them- *hint, hint, hubs!* :)
