some.days.

we had a wonderful anniversary...friday evening we went out to do some celebrating, we had dinner at carraba's italian grill- it was both of our first time ever eating there and it was a hit. b had called ahead earlier in the day for dinner-time and when we got there fifteen minutes early than our 'reservation'- it was jam packed. of course, it was friday night and i expected it to be busy- but wow. people were crammed everywhere, so crammed that at one point i was on the verge of hyperventilating due to my issue with claustrophobia (lol). after about forty minutes- which still wasn't all that bad, we were seated, thank goodness at least for my sanity. earlier in the week we signed up for their 'club' online for special discounts, etc...and a special gift we did receive- a free appetizer which we happily used on the most expensive appetizer they had, the sampler platter: fried zucchini, mozzarella sticks and bruchetta- yum, yum and more yum. their bread: delicious- salads: delicious and our entree's: delicious. b got "the johnny" which is sirloin marsala & chicken bryan and for his side he chose fettuccini alfredo and as for me i splurged and got the filet with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables of the day: you guessed it, delicious! by the time we were finished with dinner it was after nine o'clock and most stores were closed- so we made our way to target (love that place) where we bought some goodies and some more 'prizes' for our little valentine. on our way home we stopped and got us some desert from the store and rented some movies to watch at home. we were going to go to the movies but opted to wait on something we really wanted (like- i am number four) as opposed to seeing something that we were just gonna see to just be going to the theater. it was a very nice evening out with my lovely hubby and i am eager to go out again in a couple of weeks for dinner and a movie (at the theater this time).

saturday was b's day off (we love daddy's day off) and we had planned on taking logan to lunch of his choice, of course he chose "big-donalds" as he calls it. he ate and ate and ate, it was really nice to eat lunch out, we rarely ever do it so it was definitley something fun and out of the ordinary to do as a family.

after that we hit a couple side-walk sales at the local video stores, we LOVE these and they are great ways to get movies for extremely cheap, like $4.00 cheap. we got several things that we really like. we are big movie buffs. we spent the rest of saturday just hanging out at home, watching movies and playing outside, but due to the wind storm (oh my word) we weren't able to do that for very long at all. we have had a very lazy sunday, again just hanging out and home awaiting our super bowl party. my mom and i went to the store earlier and got all our goodies for the party tonight minus the pizza hut run later on this evening, for the big dipper and my favorite, cheesy bread sticks. i always love a good party- the commercials and half time show are what i look forward to most, but i must admit that i do love the game as well, it's a good tradition and i am BIG on tradition. GO YELLOW AND GREEN, GREEN AND YELLOW!

i am currently busy working on lo's valentine's cards to send out if i must say they are going to be just TOO cute, i can't wait to see the final product. i can't wait to share them with you, once they have been mailed and received by the recipient of course. THE HAPPENINGS COMING UP: we have tickets for the circus, lo is just thrilled- as are we. every morning he wakes up asking if its the day "lions, clowns, cycles?!?" "i wanna go to the circus," he says. he has been before- but he is going to LOVE it this time around. i am excited to be getting my hair done in a couple of weeks- trimmed (not cut- bleh...i have threatened husband to never let me cut it short again, i like it longer and thats that!), thinned out, as well as high and low lights- it's about time for a pick me up with the warmer weather coming 'round the corner. speaking of warmer weather, i am so looking forward to spring and summer- my birthday (lol), the beautiful weather, warmer and longer days to play, the beach (which is already booked, YAY!) and fingers crossed for another big event later this year. oh, i'm so excited about everything coming up, just thinking about it all makes me so happy and fills me with gratefulness overflowing.

  1. Another big event?! Could it be another little Hull in the works?!!! I'm glad you had a wonderful anniversary, 5 years seemed like such a "big one" to me. Logan is just gorgeous, as always! Hope all is well with your family - I know you are enjoying being close to them!

  2. I don't know so much about that one, we are extremely happy being, "Hull party of THREE!" 5 years was big for us too, a milestone if you will. I surely think he is but I'm gonna be biased, of course. :)
